A memorial garden gives a grieving community somewhere to return

The institution needed a place for quiet return, not a monument for a single moment. We designed a garden that reveals itself slowly. A compressed entry sequence opens onto a wide, still lawn bordered by a single row of trees, with stone seating oriented away from foot traffic. The planting was chosen for restraint rather than spectacle: steady, muted color that changes gradually enough that visitors notice it only in memory, across the years they keep coming back.
